the Best Local Food and Wine

to Support

Make-A-Wish

The 14th annual Wine and Wishes® event, being held on Saturday, February 7th 2015 on Treasure Island, features the culinary talents of ten celebrated Bay Area chefs during the Winemaker Dinner and over 60 restaurants, wineries, breweries and mixologists at the Gourmet Food & Wine Tasting. The iconic Administration Building is the setting for the Food & Wine Tasting, and the Winemaker Dinner will be held in San Francisco’s only working winery at nearby Winery SF. This year’s event will bring together renowned culinary stars like James Beard Award winner Roland Passot of La Folie, Mark Dommen of One Market and Philippe Jeanty of Bistro Jeanty, among others, for the Winemaker Dinner. Wineries featured at the Tasting include Cakebread Cellars, De La Montanya, and Patz & Hall among others. Restaurants include E & O Kitchen and Bar, LarkCreekSteak, Ozumo and Farallon, which will provide its ever-popular oyster bar. In addition to sampling some of the Bay Area’s best food and wine, participants will get to know some of the wonderful children we serve through the wish stories that will be highlighted during the evening.

The evening begins at 5pm with a Gourmet Food & Wine Tasting, where attendees can sample signature hors d’oeuvres from 24 celebrated local restaurants and taste wine from 26 Bay Area wineries. Beer lovers can also enjoy tastes from a pair of local breweries. A special VIP Reception will offer tasting from coveted cult wineries Kosta Browne, Vineyard Brand and Robert Biale andan amuse boûche from the evening’s Executive Chefs. At 7:30pm ten local executive chefs will prepare a four-course brasserie-style Winemaker Dinner, pairing each course with select wines.

Dinner guests will also get to know 18 year old Tre Grinner, whose wish was to be an investment banker. Tre, who suffers from Hodgkin’s lymphoma, spent a mini-internship on Wall Street and in San Francisco learning from industry leaders and Warren Buffet himself last summer.

Tickets are now on sale for the Gourmet Food & Wine Tasting ($150/person) and a limited number of tickets to the Winemaker Dinner ($500 and up) are also available. For more information go to www.wineandwishessf.com or call 415-982-9474.
