at the 2017 Global Technology Symposium in Silicon Valley
MENLO PARK, CALIF. (NOV. 1, 2017) – The 14th Annual Global Technology Symposium – which brought over 200 international leaders in business, technology, finance and government together to discuss the ingredients of Silicon Valley’s success – concluded successfully on Friday.
GTS 2017, themed “Silicon Valley Confidential,” featured dialogue about topics such as emerging market investing, new financial technologies such as blockchain, parlaying military service into corporate leadership, and promoting innovation in underserved communities in the U.S. heartland, away from traditional venture capital corridors such as California.
In keeping with GTS’ tradition of hosting international political and business delegations, GTS 2017 also featured an official visit by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov to the Bay Area. President Minnikhanov received advice from noted venture capital industry figures such as NEA Chairman and Co-Founder Dick Kramlich on stimulating entrepreneurship in Tatarstan. In addition, the Tatarstan delegation showcased promising startups from the region.
